Yes, we are still in business
We have had a few people ask if we are still in business because the date of our last post was in 2010. Truth is, we have been so busy filling orders that we just haven't had time to update the blog. We hope to get some new examples up soon showing some new fonts and design layouts. Until then, be sure to check out our past examples and feel free to add any requests into the special instructions area on the online order form if you decide to place an order.

A Few Examples
We had some new photos taken for a promotion piece we will be printing this fall and I thought I would post a sneak peak of some of the pics (please note, these are the raw photos, we haven't had a chance to edit them yet). For those of you looking for ideas or options as to what can be put on the personalized cork place card holders, here are some examples of things we have done recently.

Bring on 2010!
We had an amazing 2009 and our January proved to be much busier than we anticipated, which is a great start to 2010. We have officially added the wine cork napkin rings to the site and also added a few other custom options for our custom printed wine cork place card holders. We hope they will make a great addition to the site.
With the busy wedding season upon us, I just want to make a quick reminder that since all items are hand made it does take a little longer to process orders than a company that has inventory just sitting on a shelf. We have boxes upon boxes of corks and only after an order has been placed do we do anything with that cork. So please be patient with us and remember that although I try my very hardest to get things out the door as soon as possible, your items could take up to a week to processed. Thanks in advance for your patience.
I promise to post some more photos in the coming weeks. If you are currently looking for examples, please check out the blog posts from 2009.
I'm looking forward to a very exciting year for CorkeyCreations!

Is it Really The End of October Already???

We've been extremely busy the past couple months processing website orders and getting ready for all of our craft show events this fall and winter, but I wanted to give you a taste of some of the personalized things we have been printing the past few months. As you will see, you can be as creative as you want and these wine cork place card holders can be used for more than just weddings (as you will notice). If you like what you see and want to do something similar, orders can be placed online at CorkeyCreations.com and you can email me at info@corkeycreations.com with any images you may be interested in printing on the corks to get an idea on how they may look. I'm hoping to get some new custom image options on the site next month as well to add to our variety.
Best wishes to all of you brides and grooms getting married this fall.
Happy Fall!

New Products

I'm really excited about a new product we are getting ready to place on the website! Soon we will be selling wine cork napkin rings! We'll be offering them with both general wine names and images on them as well as custom and personalized printing.
These should be on the site soon, so keep checking www.corkeycreations.com for ordering info or if you would like to place an order before they are available on the site, just contact us as info@corkeycreations.com.
We're hoping this will be an additional way for you to add a touch of wine to your special event.

New vs. Used corks
Every now and then I get an email asking me if the corks I use for the wine cork place card holders are new corks or if they have been used and when I mention that they are factory seconds, meaning they are not used, I sometimes get the feeling that turns people away. What some people don't understand is that you are getting a much better product by going with a factory second cork over a used cork. When a cork is used, meaning it has been put in a wine bottle and then taken out, after it is taken out the cork can become deformed and at times, very small. A factory second cork was intended for bottling, but because it may have the smallest imperfections it can't be used. So because these corks have not been used, they are more uniform in shape and much studier because they are just a tad larger in shape which makes the flat base a little larger, in turn, less rolling and tipping when a card is inserted. Our wine cork place card holders can also be ordered months and years in advance because there is zero chance of the slit closing back up due to heat, humidity and other environmental factors - which may be the case with used corks.
Overall, it's your preference as to what type of cork you would prefer, but CorkeyCreations.com feels you are getting a much better wine cork place card holders when factory second corks are used.

Amazed!

I continue to be amazed by the designs and ideas that customers have for personalizing the wine cork place card holders. Here is a design I recently printed for a bride that I think really turned out well. The bride provided the design for the ends and I helped her develop the printing for the front.
Best wishes Marshall and Laura on your upcoming wedding!

Well, I'm excited to start the CorkeyCreations.com blog with my very first post. I have to admit that this is my first time blogging, so it might take a while to get things up and running. Once we get our new camera, I'm hoping to post photos of unique personalized wine cork place card holders being sent out so you can see all the new things we're doing and also provide those of you interested in ordering some ideas of what others have done. I'll also keep you updated with new product ideas, ideas on how to use our products, and upcoming events.
Looking forward to blogging!
